Our Unique House

The octagonal design and floor to ceiling windows catch the ocean breezes so that our air-conditioning is seldom needed. Rubio, our caretaker, lives in a casita in the back of the property. You have your privacy, but he is there to assist you if needed. His chickens and friendly dogs give the place a homey, local feel. He will help you set up your kayak, or tell you the best places for snorkeling. There is a traditional Mayan barbecue that you can use, or have Rubio prepare a meal for you. We strive to be environmentally responsible. We use biodegradable laundry soap, and minimize our use of plastic. Our water supply comes from rain water stored in a cistern. We supply a bubbler of bottled water. We ask that you bring a water bottle and use the reusable shopping bags that we provide.
